From mid January to mid November one can step down from the Abbey garden to the soft sandy beach. Between mid November to the 1st week of January, there may be a sand movement and the soft sand might get washed away which is re-deposited within a few days, At this time it is a short walk to the beach. Occasionally sounds of passing vehicles may be heard.
