Villa 1538 is an eco chic beachfront home completely open to the caribbean breeze with Mexican colorful touches.
It embodies a grand suite on top; a two bedroom suite and a double room on the ground level. The grand suite encapsulates two spacious bedrooms of which the master is bestowed with a double-king size bed. Each king bedroom within the grand suite has its own private bathroom. They both share a private lounge appointed with a Jacuzzi overlooking a vast sun terrace.
The two bedroom suite downstairs has one bedroom furnished with a king size bed; while the second bedroom is also a King bed. The bedrooms connect through a lounge area and share one bathroom. The private double bedroom is located within a large space with a view, furnished with a double bed and appointed with a bathroom.
All rooms boast of their minimal design which facilitates one's appreciation of nature.
Floor to ceiling windows allow maximum light and a feeling of openness that brings the outside in and the inside out. The sliding windows wide open to intake the breeze bring the guests in the enjoyably physical contact with the astonishing infinity views in the early hours when the Sun proclaims the new day from below the horizon.
The casa derives its name from an enormous palapa attached to it. Its open-sided thatch-roofed space amounting to 400 m2 totaling the space up to 9,200 m2 serves as a giant lounge appointed with a full kitchen, generous 20 seater dining table, capacious wine rack, floor lamps, large sofas, colorful bean bag chairs, and other seating. All distributed around the area forming functional and comfort clusters. Naturally illuminated during the day, at night the light comes from 30 variously sized and shaped handmade wicker fixtures hanging from the 15 meters high ceiling.
The ocean side is given in its entirety to a rivulet-like swimming pool. Long and curving, it seamlessly connects the palapa to the house, where the pool commences with a lesser depth. It culminates where the beautifully massive staircase of the palapa takes one directly to the beach.
At the rear of the villa lies a pristine jungle gently transpierced with a pathway winding in between palm trees.
A few steps away from the villa is an open through tropical chapel standing on the rocks overlooking the ocean. It is spacious enough to seat a congregation of 105 persons. Considering its size and secluded location, the villa is an ideal accommodation for large ceremonies, events or big family gatherings.
The villa is the outcome of collaboration by a number of architects, engineers, landscape designers and interior decorators united in their vision of organic continuum, living in space intimately interlinked with nature and culture. These two forces charge the structure with extraordinary energies, physical and symbolic, the effect of which is pleasantly astonishing. Experience nature and eco luxury in this villa.
It combines a double-decker bar that overhanging the beach advances toward the ocean; multilevel semi-amphitheatre space with private seating enclaves and steps leading to the dance/performance sand-floor below, dropped against the infinity view ahead; two spacious oceanfront palapas which serve ideal meal- and social-time hideouts in times of the weather; 360? wooden "skyscraper" observatory rising above the property offering a vantage point private table area; and a generous stretch of beach appointed with serviceable sun beds and shaded hanging beds palapitas.
In the daytime during the week, the guests enjoy typical beach activities while being served light food and drinks, accompanied by easy, funk and soulful music from the extensive playlists of resident and guest DJs.
Whoever is interested in extra-active recreation will find on the beach a rental shop and school run by Sian Macondo, the top Mexican kite-surfer and would be one's ultimate instructor in mastering the wind and waves.
On the weekend, the club hosts late night events involving live gigs and sets played by international musicians and major-league DJs touring around Mexico. In this capacity, the club is an especially popular destination ? one of the kind in the region ? attracting the music-loving and party-going audience from around the world. It is especially renown for its monthly Full Moon sessions. Having said such, the Villa and nearby accommodation can never be granted full quite enjoyment during the stay.
