GENERAL

Paros is the ?capital? of the Cyclades and is a popular island with picturesque white cubic villages, plenty of beaches, lively night life, some of the best sporting facilities in Greece (especially wind and kite-surfing, thanks to the strong summer winds) and a good tourist infrastructure. Connections with Athens are frequent and plentiful both by plane and by Hydrofoils.

The area is one of discreet villas set in large and private grounds, the bay is relatively sheltered from the prevailing north wind, offering mooring for small boats and swimming for children. There are several other beaches, at a 10 minute walk or 10 minute drive, that one could go to depending on the wind. The views over the bay to the island of Antiparos are very pretty as are the sunsets. The area is especially convenient for those wanting to be near the Kite and Windsurfing paradise of Pounda, from where the little ferry also crosses over to Antiparos for an easy day trip.

Low, dry stone walls surround this newly built, architect-owned, cool and airy property, set a few metres behind a pretty crescent of a narrow sandy beach, which is accessed mainly by the bordering villas. The property comprises of two houses: an upper and a lower, which can sometime be rented separately off season. They enjoy lovely views of the beaches below, the islands opposite and the sunset.

The garden is planted with aromatic shrubs and olive trees, and a long narrow pool blends unobtrusively with the natural feel of the landscaping. Accommodation is equally divided between two houses; an upper and a lower, which have their own pergola-covered outdoor seating areas as well as each having large enough inside eating areas for a whole group to be together. The houses are designed with a cool, minimalist look. Finishes are sleek, furnishings are simple and chic.
